We live on the shores of beautiful Annie Lake located between Skagway, Alaska and
Whitehorse, Yukon. We are surrounded by 6,000' mountains and our 60 furry friends. We
have developed a competitive long-distance racing kennel and in the past 9 years Hugh and his
team have competed in 5 Iditarods and 8 Yukon Quest races. Hugh is one of a handful of
mushers that have completed the Yukon Quest and Iditarod in the same year - and he's done it
the last 4 years in a row! This past year we competed in the Cantwell Classic 200, the Kusko
300, the Yukon Quest, Iditarod, the All Alaska Sweepstakes and the Kobuk 440. That's
over 3,300 miles of racing in 3 months!
This year the team came in 7th in the Yukon Quest, 25th in the Iditarod and 5th in the Kobuk
440. Our shining stars this year were Annie, Watson, Walter, Colby, Omen, Maestro,
Mahoosic and Spencer. Hugh signed up for his 6th Iditarod and 9th Yukon Quest both on
the first day of entries.
We want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors from this past year. We hope you
enjoyed the ride and come back again for more! Our Iditarod team is shown on the dawgs link.
Our whole kennel is displayed at www.dogtec.com which contains photos and lineages of all
the dogs. Don't forget to follow us on our daily adventures. We just got satellite internet so
we'll be able to update a lot more often. Check out our blog at

*** We would love for you to join our cause. Our goal is: community-spiritual enhancement-positive energy-sharing life's dreams-Alaska. Know of any friends, communities, companies or groups who might like to become part of the Laughing Eyes Kennel Vision? We have just finished our first tour of schools presenting "Tails of the North" talking about the Iditarod and dog mushing. Our goal is to promote 'good fellowship' via the Alaskan Dog Mushing lifestyle. Our next tour is scheduled for May, 2009. Send us a line at laughingeyeskennel@hotmail.com to enquire about costs and scheduling.

Welcome to Laughing Eyes Kennel!
Home of Hugh Neff and Tamra Reynolds
We are proud to announce that
we are now feeding Redpaw 32/20
kibble. We have fed this food for
3 months now and the changes in
our dogs are incredible! We have
fed this food for races for the last
three years and based on the
results decided to feed it year
round now that it is more readily
available in Whitehorse.
